After our day trip at Boston we took a straight shot to Bar Harbor in Maine. The
area we
are heading to is home to arcadia national park, one of the best national
parks in the
country. The guys and I wanted to see the park for ourselves and make our own
judgements.
We were not disspointed.
Bar Harbor is a small town of a few hundred during the winter season (novembe
r to
about March) and swells up to a few thousand during the busy tourist
season. There are
hotels all surrounding Bar Harbor (most of these hotels only operate durin
g the busy
season and shuts down during the off seasons) are filled at capacity
. People from all over
the world gather at this historic town to enjoys the great outdoors of maine.
Of course, if you are a seafood fan, there are an ample supply of seafood at
your
disposal.
One fun fact about Bar Harbor is that many of the workers throughout the
town are
international students. They work during the busy season and return
home during the
winter season.
Maine! Apparently our hotel also does weddings. Look at this great vie
w into the atlantic!
We also realized that Bar Harbor did a Relay for Life event!
